Gaelene is an experienced teacher, who is passionate about inclusive education and supporting diverse learners. Primary trained, she has worked both part-time and full-time while raising three beautiful children. Her teaching career has also presented her with opportunities to teach across all three sectors - including 11 years in Early Childhood (Playcentre) and eight years at Secondary. Prior to joining Arahunga in 2022, Gaelene worked at Waiopehu College as a Specialist Teacher/Assistant HOD of Te Whare Awhina. A diverse role which included teaching both ORS & Learning Support students, transition and coordination of Special Assessment Conditions.
